Horse Retreats

Brain * Heart * Horse * Coherence

Equine Transformational Retreats for families, couples, individuals and small groups

Retreat, Reconnect, Rebuild and Transform

Having an immersive, holistic retreat (for one, two, or three days) within nature’s embrace is a powerful way to begin your process, or deepen your awareness, when ready to make significant changes in your life. Retreats are customized to fit your specific intentions and goals and always include aspects of your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual being-ness. Your retreat can focus on you alone, you and your significant other, your family, or a small group of peers.

Co-Facilitation:

When working with horses, it is essential to have an equine specialist as part of the facilitation team. These are trained professionals who keep the space safe and understand the horse/human dynamic.  The primary co-facilitator I work with owns ten acres where a herd of nine horses roam freely and are not kept in stalls. She is a gifted intuitive whisperer of horses, dogs and people, with over 30 years of experience.  You can learn more about her here.

“I am filled with joy and gratitude in my heart after our incredible weekend together. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation for the transformative and magical experience you provided.

Spending time with all of us, surrounded by your beautiful horses, in such a majestic setting was truly rejuvenating. The energy, spirit and peace I felt during our time together were nothing short of extraordinary. Your passion for the horses and the bond you share with them is truly inspiring.

Thank you for opening up your world to me. It’s moments like these that remind me of the beauty and wonder that exists in the world, and for that, I am immensely grateful.”

Features

Brain * Heart * Horse * Coherence

Many people find that when they spend time with the herd of horses, they experience how the horses bring together the mind/body/spirit connection in surprising ways. You will be provided with structured and unstructured time with the herd and with a particular horse or two (if you’d like) while your inner awareness deepens effortlessly and you see what is reflected back to you in your experience of the horse/s. Whether you’ve ridden your entire life or are terrified of horses, this opportunity is often described as magical and transformative.

Horse and Nature Retreats offer attendees a powerful, transformative experience that goes beyond traditional therapy or family bonding activities. Held in a serene natural setting and supported by the wisdom of horses, these retreats provide a unique opportunity to heal, communicate, and grow individually, as a couple, and/or together as a family.

Why Nature and Horses?

Research shows that being in nature significantly reduces stress, fosters creativity, and enhances emotional well-being. Studies also reveal that natural environments improve mood, attention, and cognitive function, creating an ideal backdrop for you to relate with yourself, your partner, and/or your family without the distractions of modern life. Immersing yourself in nature allows you to step into a space of calm, clarity, and connection.

Animals, particularly horses, add another profound dimension to the healing and growth process. Horses are highly intuitive creatures, often mirroring human emotions and behaviors, offering immediate, non-judgmental feedback. In equine-assisted learning, you learn how your interactions with the horse reflect the dynamics at play within you, in your relationship, or in your family. Research supports the benefits of equine-assisted growth and learning, showing improvements in communication, trust, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.

How Equine-Assisted Learning Helps Families

Wealthy families often face complex emotional dynamics related to trust-building, conflict resolution, and role confusion. Horses, being sensitive to human emotions, respond to these nuances, offering enterprising families a chance to better understand their own emotional patterns and family interactions. By engaging with the horses with trained facilitators, each family member can practice ways of relating that can further family harmony, such as: vulnerability, communication, leadership, and trust.

Equine-assisted learning fosters non-verbal communication and helps reveal unspoken needs, leading to greater empathy and stronger connections. These retreats provide activities tailored to your family’s particular needs and goals. Whether it’s navigating parenting dynamics, fostering trust amongst siblings, or creating a new family culture, these horse and nature retreats help families grow stronger together, setting the foundation for flourishing.

This experience is truly one of a kind, designed to deepen your family’s bond while tapping into the healing power of nature and the wisdom of horses. Reconnect with what matters most, and leave with a sense of peace, purpose, and possibility.

When you attend with a peer group, you will be provided structured and unstructured time with horses, dogs, art supplies and more. There will be group sharing, alone time to journal, reflect, explore the property, and play with the animals. There will also be dedicated time for rest and reflect as you take time to integrate your experiences.

Each attendee has the option of having one private, personal coaching session focused on their overall well-being and particular goals and intentions. There will also be group sessions with posture adjustments, breathing exercises, and more. Everyone can also choose to have an individual “energy experience” with a horse.

Examples of cohort groups:

Women Colleagues in similar professions – mixing professional development and retreat experiences to deepen relationships, network, and mutually support each other in personal and professional goals for expansion and transformation.

Women friends – using a unique retreat experience as a reunion, where each attendee highlights their gifts and talents and produces one of the retreat modules. The format of the retreat is co-created by them and also evolves spontaneously when all together.

Men’s Groups – looking to have unique experiences together that get them out of their comfort zone and into their hearts, supporting each other in being the best versions of themselves.

Inheritors/Beneficiaries/”Rising Gen” – a safe and special place to be free of the trappings of popular culture and memes of what it means to be wealthy. Horses interact with you based on who you are being, not how much money your family has. Peers facing similar challenges that come with wealth can relate to each other and defenses can be removed as there are no micro (or macro) aggressions from the 99%.

Thought leaders who are doing great things and are leveraging and multiplying their effect – for reflection, rejuvenation, and expansion of perspective and possibilities.

NOTE: When attending a peer group retreat, a portion of your fees go to providing pro-bono services to identified populations in need, including:

Leaders in Minority or Underserved Communities - Allow yourself to be served and honored for all the work you do to serve others. Learn new ways to approach food and exercise that will support you in your efforts, and that will support the community you serve in ways that the culture and government services have not.

Burnt-out Healthcare Professionals – When your days are focused on the health and well-being of your patients, are your nights spent cultivating a lifestyle and routine that nurtures your health and well-being?  When the healthcare system begins to fail you and all your believed in when you began in your career, having time to retreat and reflect provides an opportunity to reset and re-evaluate from an entirely new perspective.

Caregivers of aging parents, and parents of special needs children, who need to rejuvenate and recharge to be able to continue to care for their loved ones to the best of their ability.
